You Spin Me Right Round Baby
I know this isn't really fashion, but while adorning our bodies, one mustn't forget to beautify the home as well. Whitney Smith's pottery is a great way to start. All her pieces are thrown on the wheel to start and finished off by hand with lovely details like dogwood flowers and scalloped edges.
For a teacup swap, I paired one of her mini plates with a teacup I found at a local kitchenware store to create the perfect set:
You can learn more about Whitney Smith and purchase her wares by visiting her website or Miette Organic Patisserie in the San Francisco Ferry Building.

Shiftless No More
I've been searching high and low for the perfect black shift dress this season, and I may have finally found it. Keep your fingers crossed it'll fit.

My Secret Shame
I hate Juicy Couture. How could I not? This is the brand that made tacky velour tracksuits popular outside the privacy of one's home, and their handbags are a tacky ripoff of just about every high end designer on the market. I've seen one that looks like the love child of a Hermes Birkin and a Luella Giselle. (I'll try to dig up a photo.)
So, it is with no small amount of shame that I admit to liking anything Juicy. Unfortunately, I have a weak spot for argyle.

Thrifty Chic
When it comes to shopping, cheap is a relative term. Case in point:
These Chloes are on yoox.com for $339, and I've got it listed under Thrifty Chic. True, $339 is quite a bit for shoes, but thrifty compared to the retail of roughly $600. So, relatively speaking, these are a deal.
Or you can just go with cheap, relatively speaking or not:
Mary Janes, Payless Shoes.
Try MakeUpAlley.com for more bargains.

Old School
If only I had these to go with my Catholic school uniform back in the day.

More to Love
Generally, I'm adverse to bags big enough for me to live in, but I'd be willing to make an exception for this Miu Miu.
